About the Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) is a community of volunteers dedicated to serving veterans, military, and their families. Unit 331 works alongside Post 331 to advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.

Founded in 1919, the American Legion Auxiliary is one of the world's largest patriotic service organizations. The Auxiliary’s mission is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad.

Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary is an honor and a privilege. We welcome all eligible applicants who wish to serve our veterans and community.

Eligibility

  • Grandparents, parents, siblings, spouses, and direct and adopted descendants of members of The American Legion.
  • Veterans who of their own right are eligible for membership in The American Legion.
